Tips
👉 The best cover photos are front-facing, well-lit, and in sharp focus with your dog looking directly at the camera. A clean background in the original photo helps the magazine cover layout look its most polished. Think of it as their headshot.
👉 Upload a high-resolution image for the sharpest print. Aim for at least 1000 x 1000 pixels. The photo fills the cover, so quality makes a real difference at larger sizes.
👉 Have fun with the magazine paragraph. Write it in the style of a real magazine coverline: short, punchy, slightly absurd. Think along the lines of "Inside: the nap that changed everything" or "Exclusive: why the postman is still the enemy." The more in character, the better.
Follow these steps to create your perfect Dogue cover:
- Upload your dog's photo. Choose a clear, front-facing shot where their face is fully visible and in sharp focus. A high-resolution image will give the most striking result. This is the star of the cover, so pick the photo that best captures their personality.
- Enter your dog's name. This appears as the cover star's name on the poster. Use their full name, their nickname, or whatever they actually respond to when biscuits are involved.
- Write your headline title. This is the main text on the cover. Keep it short and make it theirs. A great Dogue headline is confident, slightly ridiculous, and completely believable coming from your dog.
- Write your magazine paragraph. A short, punchy block of text in the style of a real magazine coverline. Two or three sentences works perfectly. Write it in character and don't be afraid to go full editor-in-chief.
- Choose your text colours. Customise the colour of each text element to match your dog's personality, your home decor, or whatever combination looks best with their photo. Classic black and white, bold primary colours, soft pastels, it is entirely up to you.
